Nicolaus Copernicus With The Waxing Moon In Conjunction With Jupiter & Venus Sunday February 26 2012
Jupiter, in close conjunction with the waxing crescent moon, with Venus in "evening star" mode below them, grace the dusk sky above Montreal on Sunday February 26, 2012. The snow covered bronze statue of Nicolaus Copernicus aka MikoĊaj Kopernik that sits outside the now abandoned Dow Planetarium in downtown Montreal provides the foreground for this astronomical photograph. Sadly, Copernicus seems to have lost his armillary sphere. . .
